UPCOMING INDUSTRY READING FOR "THE BORDER" IN LOS ANGELES!
On Tuesday, May 11, Greenstem Productions, the company that optioned our original television pilot "The Border", organized an industry reading of the script at the DeMille Theatre on the Culver Studios Lot. Multiple actors, directors, producers, and casting agents were in attendance and the reactions and feedback were overwhelmingly positive. We even had a few industry professionals express interest in becoming involved with the material! More info as it comes in...

There is a border between worlds... and it's closer than you think.

For as long as civilizations have existed, there have been borders to protect. But there also exists a dimensional border that separates our world from one of dark mystery. There are 53 known hot spots on Earth where this border is thin enough to allow passage back and forth, both human and otherwise. The U.S. Government has been aware of these "Disturbance Areas" for over one hundred years and secretly created several teams of highly trained men and women to guard them. These elite teams of Agents are part of a global security force known as the Delta Alpha Project.

Rookie Agent Bowie Turner has just joined the team responsible for guarding Disturbance Area 9 in El Centro, California. With its close proximity to Mexico, Agents here pull double duty as Border Patrol. When an earthquake opens a rift in the desert and threatens to become the largest dimensional breach in history, Bowie and his fellow Agents find themselves guarding not just the border between the United States and Mexico… but also between this world and the next.

THE BORDER is a gritty series that blends a western feel with science fiction and paranormal elements like a cross between Justified, Supernatural, and The X-Files. Like Lost, the show has a detailed mythology but has been structured in an open ended fashion that will allow for many stand-alone episodes to draw in both the casual viewer and the devoted alike. As a result, it will not be necessary for viewers to tune in from day one in order to understand what’s going on, but those that do will be amply rewarded.
